World War II saw an alarming number of casualties among soldiers stationed on the USS Arizona. This memorial pays tribute to them and the sacrifice they made for their country.

To start the tour, there is an area of history and culture. This section of the USS Arizona Memorial at Pearl Harbor allows Hawaii’s visitors to understand life on a battleship.
The history and culture area also details survivors’ stories as well as pictures and a report on the historical investigation of December 7, 1941.
The tribute to the soldiers who lost their lives is another important part of the USS Arizona Memorial at Pearl Harbor tour. Here, visitors can view the Remembrance Exhibit that lists the names of those killed in the Pearl Harbor attack.
Many visitors to this military landmark enjoy learning about the USS Arizona Preservation Project. The National Park Service is researching the deterioration of the USS Arizona. Scientists are studying the rate of deterioration of the vessel.
If you are interested in taking the USS Arizona Memorial at Pearl Harbor tour, feel free to visit any day but Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years’ days. The park is open from 7:30 in the morning until 5:00 in the afternoon.
Those who are interested in interpretive programs may participate starting at 8:00 during the school year and 7:45 in the summer.
Be sure you have arrived at the location of the program you are interested in attending before 3:00. The final program of the day starts at this time.
The USS Arizona Memorial at Pearl Harbor does experience a high volume of visitors. In fact, there are about 4,500 people who visit the park each day.
The good news is that admission to this Honolulu tribute is free for all.
Because international tourists visit the USS Arizona Memorial at Pearl Harbor, the National Park Service provides brochures printed in 35 different languages at the visitor center.
Keep in mind that the USS Arizona Memorial at Pearl Harbor does require shoes, shorts, and shirts. Bathing suits and shirts with profane messages are not permitted.
Pets are not allowed in the park unless they are service animals. If you do have special physical needs, the park is handicap accessible. However, you will need to bring your own wheelchair to this historic site as no wheelchairs are available for rent.
